As the school year begins, Edsel Ford High School has many new teachers in the building. One of them is Ms. Kiliaris, the new physics teacher.  Ms. Kiliaris is originally from Greece and speaks Greek fluently. Originally a chemist, she enjoyed helping interns which led to her love of teaching. Before she came to Edsel Ford she worked at St. Frances Cabrini High School. She taught physical science, chemistry, 7th grade science, and 8th grade science—she loves helping students learn.

Ms. Kiliaris is a cheer mom. She spends her time taking her daughter to cheer and watching her competitions, but during the summer, she and her family spend time at the beach. In the winter time, she will build a snowman but will not stay outside for very long. Her family loves being outside as much as possible. Not a lot of people know this, but when she was in high school she played volleyball and was also a cheerleader. The advice she has for high school students is, “Practice, practice, practice. No matter what the material, keep studying.’’
