Movie #1 - Alien (1979) directed by: Ridley Scott I watched the movie Alien in my film class as the first ever movie we watched to start up our horror/thriller unit. The movie experience wasn't bad, but wasn’t my preference. The movie takes place in deep space as the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma. I would rate this movie a 0 out of 5 stars. The movie was very gory and I found it scary. I would rate this movie a 0 out of 5 stars, and would not recommend it to anyone.
