- What made you want to become a teacher?
“I’ve always wanted to become a teacher. My sister would tell you that we used to play school at home and I never allowed her to be the teacher. I was actually gonna be a history teacher at one point in time and so I took my first college history class and hated it. So then, I took my first science class in college.
- What was your favorite subject in high school?
“History.”
- What is your favorite TV show?
“I enjoy watching True Crime TV.”
- What college did you go to?
“I went to Eastern Michigan University for my undergrad and I went to U of M Dearborn for my Master’s.”
- What is one piece of advice you give to all your students?
“Apply for every scholarship that is available to you. The worst thing that they can do is say no.”
- Is there any other career you would do beside teaching?
“When I retire I always joke that I am going to be a personal shopper or I am going to plan Walt Disney World vacations for people.”
- How many years have you been a teacher for?
“I graduated college in 1997. I have been teaching at Edsel Ford for 25+ years.
- What is your favorite bug?
“So my favorite bug is not technically a bug. It would be a butterfly.”
